Support

NoteNimbus is made by one person. Every message is read and answered by a human, usually within two working days.

Email: support@notenimbus.com

It helps to include your device, your iOS or macOS version, and the NoteNimbus version shown in the app's Help screen.

Common questions

My note is not syncing between devices

Syncing runs on your own iCloud account, so it needs three things to be true on every device:

If all three are true and a note still looks stale, open the app on both devices and leave it open for a moment. Syncing happens when the app is in front. A note edited on two devices while one was offline keeps both versions, and the one that lost is saved as a backup you can recover from the app's Help screen.

The widget is blank or showing old text

Open the app once. Widgets are refreshed by the system on its own schedule and opening the app forces an update. If the widget stays blank, remove it from the Home Screen or desktop and add it again.

I paid for Pro and it is asking me to buy again

Open the app, go to the Pro screen and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. A Pro purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac on one Apple Account.

If Restore does not bring it back, email support with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

How do I send text into my note from another app?

Use the Share button in Safari, Photos, Messages or any app that offers one, then pick NoteNimbus. The text or link is added to your note without opening the app.

Where did my note go?

Notes are never deleted by the app on its own. If a note looks empty, check that the right note is selected, then open the Help screen and look at the backups section, which keeps copies made when two devices disagreed.

How do I delete everything?

Delete the app from each device, then remove its iCloud data in your device settings under iCloud storage. Nothing is kept anywhere else, because nothing is stored anywhere else.

Requesting a feature or reporting a bug

Both are welcome at the same address. Bug reports that say what you did, what happened and what you expected get fixed fastest. Several features in the app exist because someone wrote in.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that made the purchase. We cannot issue refunds directly, but we can help you work out whether something is a bug worth fixing first.
